DEPOK, INDONESIA — In a heartfelt effort to nurture kindness and bring smiles to children in need, DT Peduli Depok organised the Care for Orphans Program at Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, and Superindo GDC Depok on Sunday (12 October 2025).
The program gathered 50 orphaned children along with community members and volunteers for a day filled with learning, inspiration, and shared happiness.
The day began with a visit to the Istiqlal Mosque, where the children had the honour of meeting KH. Abdullah Gymnastiar (Aa Gym), a respected spiritual leader. Aa Gym offered words of wisdom and motivation to the young participants, reminding them to stay grateful and kind-hearted.
“We must always be grateful, keep our spirits high, and continue spreading goodness wherever we are,” said Aa Gym.
Following the visit, the children enjoyed a shopping activity at Superindo GDC Depok, where they were accompanied by volunteers and community members. Laughter and excitement filled the air as each child selected their needed items.
This initiative is part of DT Peduli Depok’s ongoing commitment to instilling compassion, building connections, and sharing joy between beneficiaries and the wider community — embodying the spirit of togetherness and social care.
