BOGOR – DT Peduli Bogor moved swiftly to respond to the flood disaster that struck Cimulang Village, Rancabungur District, Bogor Regency, on Saturday (9 August 2025). The flood, caused by the overflow of the Cibeteng River and drainage channels, affected 306 houses and 929 residents.

The disaster also claimed one life—Kamal, a resident of Bantarsari Village—who died from electrocution during the flood.

Based on field assessments, the urgent needs of the survivors include ready-to-eat meals, staple food packages, medicine, hygiene supplies, prayer equipment, and school supplies.

As part of its response, DT Peduli Bogor immediately coordinated with local authorities and carried out rapid relief efforts. These included cleaning Al Munawaroh Mosque, assisting residents in cleaning their homes, and distributing 7 food packages to affected families. The action was supported by DT Peduli volunteer team members: Maribah, Jaka Budi Utama, Rifki, Putri, and Luthfi.

“We hope this assistance can help ease the burden of the residents affected by the disaster, and also serve as a form of shared solidarity to rise again after the calamity,” said Maribah, DT Peduli Bogor’s field coordinator.
Looking ahead, DT Peduli Bogor plans to distribute additional aid in the form of cleaning tools, staple food packages, and health supplies. For more information and donations, the public can contact 0857-7901-5054.
