The “Belanja Bahagia” program brought joy to 25 orphaned children in Bogor.

BOGOR – In a heartwarming celebration of the sacred month of Muharram, DT Peduli Bogor, in collaboration with Majelis Taklim As-Sofa, organized a special event titled “Belanja Bahagia” (Joyful Shopping) on Thursday, July 24, 2025. The program invited 25 orphaned children to shop for their school supplies at ADA Swalayan Pajajaran, Bogor, turning an ordinary day into one filled with joy and laughter.

The children had the freedom to select their school stationery, a rare and empowering experience for many of them. The joy continued as they were taken to the Mr. Games entertainment zone, where they played interactive games and participated in fun competitions. Their smiles lit up the room as they enjoyed prizes, snacks, lunch, and gifts, including school supplies, t-shirts, and food packages.

Sahren, one of the beneficiaries, shared his excitement:

“I’m really happy because I got to choose my school supplies, play games, and win prizes. Thank you, DT Peduli. I hope you keep growing and bringing happiness to others like me,” he said enthusiastically.

The program was also supported by mothers from Majelis Taklim As-Sofa, who joined the children to spread love and encouragement. Ibu Rully, one of the donors, praised the initiative:

“This program is truly touching. The children not only receive donations, but they also get to enjoy themselves, shop freely, and have fun. I hope As-Sofa and DT Peduli will continue to work hand-in-hand to bring happiness to even more people,” she expressed.

DT Peduli remains committed to delivering social programs that go beyond material support, aiming to create lasting joy and emotional upliftment for those in need—especially orphans, who deserve compassion, care, and hope for the future.
