BEKASI – DT Peduli Bekasi once again brought smiles to the faces of orphans and underprivileged children through its Belanja Bahagia (“Joyful Shopping”) program on Monday (25 August 2025). This time, the activity took place in one of Bekasi’s remote areas, Kampung Pantai Mekar, Muara Gembong District.
A total of 11 orphans benefited from the program. After school, the children were full of enthusiasm as they were invited to shop for their daily needs at a local store.
Although Muara Gembong is popularly known as the “Dollar Village,” many families there—especially orphans—still face economic hardship and need greater care and support.
“Alhamdulillah, I’m so happy to join this activity. May your livelihood always be blessed and your efforts successful. Aamiin,” expressed Basit, one of the children, with heartfelt gratitude.
Through this initiative, DT Peduli Bekasi hopes to continue spreading happiness and fostering a spirit of sharing among communities in need, particularly orphans and underprivileged children living on the outskirts of Bekasi.
