BEKASI — DT Peduli Bekasi distributed daily necessities to Grandma Nyimah, an elderly woman living alone in her modest home, on Wednesday (1 October 2025).
In her daily life, Grandma Nyimah survives without any family assistance. Her children have not visited in a long time, while her body has grown weak and prone to illness. To make ends meet, she relies solely on the kindness of neighbors who occasionally share food with her.
Moved by her condition, the DT Peduli Bekasi team promptly delivered assistance directly to her home. Grandma Nyimah was visibly emotional upon receiving the aid.
“Alhamdulillah, thank you so much, dear, for remembering me,” she said softly, holding back tears.
Through this support, DT Peduli Bekasi aims to ease her daily needs and remind her that she is not forgotten, even in her later years.
“This program reflects DT Peduli Bekasi’s commitment to caring for the elderly who live in hardship. We want to ensure they continue to receive attention and support, even when they live alone,” said Arif Hidayat, Program Staff at DT Peduli Bekasi.
