AMMAN, JORDAN – Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli together with the Islamic Charity Center for Society (ICCS) Jordan launched the “Love for Children from Gaza” program to provide support to 120 children with cancer and other serious illnesses, on Wednesday (12/3/2025).
The program includes a cash donation of US$100 per child as well as snacks.
The children were evacuated from Gaza through ground and air operations by the Jordanian military after being treated at a local field hospital.
The evacuation process was carried out under emergency conditions, with each child accompanied by only one adult without personal belongings.
In contrast to placement in refugee camps, DT Peduli and ICCS chose to accommodate them in Al Fanar Hotel, Amman, to ensure comfort during the recovery period.
With adequate facilities at Al Fanar Hotel, these children not only receive medical care but also psychosocial support to recover from trauma. Hopefully, this generation will one day become the backbone of Palestine’s struggle and development.
“Those in Gaza have experienced tremendous suffering. We want to give them a more humane environment,” said Muhammad Ihsan, Director of DT Peduli Community Service Institute.
One of the sad stories came from Jihad, a 9-year-old boy who was evacuated from the rubble after losing his entire family in the attack. He was treated at the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza before being transferred to Amman for intensive care.
“This is a strategic endeavor. Insha Allah, they will grow up as a strong generation that will continue the Palestinian struggle,” said Ihsan.
Yusuf (12), one of the beneficiaries, shared his happiness.
“Alhamdulillah, it’s nice and comfortable here. I was evacuated a year ago with my mother. Jazakumullah Khair to Daarut Tauhiid and Indonesian donors,” he said with a smile.
This program is a form of DT Peduli’s commitment to continue assisting the Palestinians until they are free. Ihsan invited the public to continue to support through donations, prayers, and boycott campaigns of products affiliated with Israel.
“Let’s make this Ramadan our highest moment of solidarity,” he exclaimed.
