BANDA ACEH – DT Peduli Aceh organized a humanitarian initiative to raise donations for orphaned children in Palestine, receiving full support from the congregation of Al-Hidayah Mosque, Peurada, Banda Aceh.
The fundraising event took place on Friday (25 July 2025) after the congregational Friday prayer. DT Peduli Aceh’s team was present on-site to share information about the aid program and provide an opportunity for worshippers to contribute to children in Palestine who continue to face an ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The month of Muharram was chosen for its deep spiritual significance in Islam, making it an ideal time to strengthen compassion toward the less fortunate, particularly orphans. Through this effort, the people of Aceh were called to unite in global solidarity, giving a portion of their sustenance to help children who have lost their parents due to conflict.
“This is not only about donations; it’s about conscience and empathy. We want to show that the people of Aceh will not remain silent in the face of the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Palestine, especially the orphaned children,” said a DT Peduli Aceh volunteer.
The initiative was warmly welcomed by the Al-Hidayah Mosque congregation. After Friday prayers, dozens of worshippers enthusiastically placed their contributions into the donation boxes provided. This action was a tangible reminder that the spirit of sharing and helping others remains alive and strong among the people of Aceh.
DT Peduli Aceh is committed to continuing the distribution of humanitarian aid to those in need, both domestically and internationally. By fostering synergy among mosques, volunteers, and the wider community, DT Peduli Aceh hopes to extend the reach of its assistance and bring hope to those who need it most.
