BOGOR—DT Peduli Bogor once again carried out its “Jumat Berkah” (Blessed Friday) program by distributing 420 meal boxes donated by generous contributors on Friday (10 October 2025). The meals were delivered to several Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and Qur’an memorization houses (rumah tahfidz) across Bogor as a tangible act of shared compassion and solidarity.
The meal boxes were distributed to Rumah Tahfidz DT Peduli Bogor, Pondok Pesantren Hiswah, Pondok Pesantren Daar Sa’adah, and Pondok Pesantren Ummar bin Khattob. The distribution to Ummar bin Khattob Islamic Boarding School held special meaning, as the school had been affected by a flash flood in August 2025. This initiative is hoped to serve as both material and moral support for the students who are rebuilding after the disaster.
The program received support from numerous donors, including the Kosasih family, Steven Hoerger / Jenny Kosasih, and Teuku Mahlil / Mrs. Sitti Farzia Fazsa from the United States.
One of the students from Ummar bin Khattob Islamic Boarding School, Zakaria, expressed his heartfelt gratitude:
“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful for the meal boxes shared with us today. This support not only fills our stomachs but also reminds us that there are many caring hearts behind it. Thank you to DT Peduli and all the generous donors,” he said with emotion.
