JAKARTA – DT Peduli has taken part in a historic moment: the departure of Indonesian volunteers of the Indonesia Global Peace Convoy (IGPC) from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Saturday (30 August 2025). This humanitarian mission seeks to deliver aid to Gaza, Palestine, by sea, aiming to break through the blockade that has cut off Gazans from the outside world.
Alongside 44 other nations, Indonesia is sending the spirit, prayers, and contributions of its people. The aid ships and volunteers will join a global fleet known as the Global Sumud Flotilla. This mission carries not only humanitarian assistance but also a strong message that Palestine is supported by many countries in its struggle for freedom from occupation, hunger, and dire conditions.
“In this noble endeavour, DT Peduli is entrusted with the donations from Daarut Tauhiid donors and community members, which we deliver through the participating volunteers. Indonesia, God willing, will send at least seven aid ships to join dozens of others from 44 participating countries,” said Muhammad Ihsan, Director of the DT Peduli Community Service Division (LPM), who, together with DT Peduli Director Jajan Nurjaman, sent off the IGPC volunteers.
As is widely known, Gaza remains under blockade, making it extremely difficult for food, medicine, and humanitarian workers to enter. This has left the people of Gaza in constant danger of death, hunger, and suffering. Should this fleet succeed in breaking the blockade, it will send a strong signal to the international community to mobilise more aid and increase global pressure on the Israeli occupation.
“Therefore, our prayers and support are urgently needed, so that Allah SWT strengthens the people of Gaza and grants freedom soon for Palestine,” Ihsan emphasised.
DT Peduli reaffirms its commitment to standing alongside the Palestinian struggle. Ihsan noted that DT Peduli delivers the trust and compassion of donors through many forms of support, even if it means crossing seas and breaking waves, as exemplified in the Global Sumud Flotilla program.
“Bismillah, let us pray together that Allah grants smoothness, ease, safety, and accepts this effort as a righteous deed for everyone involved. Allahu Akbar,” Ihsan concluded.
