METRO — DT Peduli Metro once again carried out its “Aku Cinta Masjid” (I Love Mosque) program at Khoirul Huda Mosque, Yosodadi Subdistrict, East Metro, on Thursday (September 25, 2025).
The initiative aims to nurture a sense of love and responsibility toward mosques among the younger generation. Beyond that, the ACM program also serves as a platform for character building while encouraging active participation from students and university scholarship recipients in maintaining the cleanliness and sanctity of mosques.
On this occasion, all DT Peduli Metro vocational students and scholarship beneficiaries took part in the mosque-cleaning activity, led directly by Aris Setiawan, Head of DT Peduli Metro.
“The mosque is the center of Islamic civilization. By involving students and university youth in this activity, we hope to raise awareness that keeping the mosque clean and vibrant is a form of worship,” said Aris Setiawan.
The cleaning process was carried out thoroughly — covering the bathrooms, ablution areas, windows, ceilings, and prayer hall floors. The atmosphere of teamwork and togetherness reflected the spirit of love and devotion to the mosque as the heart of the Muslim community.
The mosque’s caretaker, Sudirman, expressed his appreciation for the program and the participants’ dedication.
“We are very grateful to DT Peduli Metro for mobilizing its students and scholarship beneficiaries to care for the mosque. Insha’Allah, this activity will become a source of ongoing blessings for everyone involved,” said Sudirman.
