SOLO, INDONESIA — On Friday, March 28, 2025, DT Peduli Solo held an iftar (breaking the fast) gathering with members of the Indonesian Blind Association (PERTUNI) Solo. Thirty-five PERTUNI members, along with their families and companions, attended the event.

The Iftar gathering was highlighted by the handover of a complete 30-juz Braille Qur’an, including its Indonesian translation.

The donation was based on an earlier assessment conducted with the chairman of PERTUNI Solo, Sukiman, who revealed that the organization previously did not possess a translated Braille version of the Qur’an.

“We at PERTUNI already have the Braille Qur’an in Arabic script, but not the translated version,” Sukiman explained.

During the event, PERTUNI was represented by Purnomo, a senior member of PERTUNI Solo, and Kadar, the organization’s secretary.

“Ma shaa Allah, we are deeply grateful to DT Peduli for their care and concern toward our visually impaired friends through this donation of the Braille Qur’an with translation. In shaa Allah, it will be incredibly beneficial for our members,” said Purnomo.
Kadar also expressed his hopes for continued collaboration between DT Peduli and PERTUNI.

“In shaa Allah, this marks the beginning of our partnership with PERTUNI Solo. We hope this leads to future programs that empower our visually impaired friends in Solo,” Kadar stated.
