BARITO KUALA — DT Peduli South Kalimantan (Kalsel) organized a Traditional Snack and Souvenir Product Training attended by 27 women from the Alalak Berangas area, Barito Kuala Regency, on Thursday (September 25, 2025). The program aimed to provide new skills and open business opportunities for the community.
Held at SD/MI Berangas Barat, the training was led by trainer Dewi Hastuti. Participants learned both theory and hands-on practice in making three local snack products: Akar Pinang, Kerupuk Bawang, and Kacang Sembunyi.
Haris Seda, Principal of SD/MI Berangas, expressed appreciation for DT Peduli Kalsel’s contribution to community empowerment through creative economy skill development.
Dewi Hastuti shared her hopes that the training would have long-term benefits: “Hopefully, this program not only provides new knowledge but also creates business opportunities for the community,” she said.
Through this initiative, participants are expected to use their new skills as a foundation for developing small businesses while enriching the variety of local snacks and souvenirs unique to the region.
