SLEMAN, Indonesia — DT Peduli continued its support program for egg-laying chicken farmers on Monday (25 August 2025) in Sendangtirto, Berbah, Sleman. The initiative involved two beneficiaries currently developing their poultry farms as a source of family income. The program aims to strengthen farmers’ capacity in cage management, feed formulation, and animal health to maximize egg production.

During the mentoring session, the program team and farmers discussed several strategic steps to improve production quality, including plans for coop upgrades, balanced feed management, and maintaining a clean farming environment. The discussion also highlighted the importance of proper animal care to prevent disease and stress, ensuring stable productivity.

Novi, DT Peduli Yogyakarta Program Manager, emphasized the significance of this assistance for long-term sustainability.

“We want to equip farmers with sufficient knowledge and skills so that their poultry business can run more professionally. Through continuous support, we hope to see improved production results and significant economic impact,” he explained.

One of the beneficiaries, Cahyo, expressed his gratitude for the program:

“Alhamdulillah, this guidance has helped me understand proper poultry care. We also received valuable input on how to maintain more stable egg production. Hopefully, this business will continue to grow in the future,” he said.

Program Consultant for Egg-Laying Chickens, Ibin, shared technical advice on coop management:

“Coop hygiene and air circulation need more attention. Cleaner facilities and proper ventilation will keep the chickens healthier, resulting in optimal egg production,” he noted, adding that improving coops would be a priority in the next phase of support.

Through this initiative, DT Peduli hopes to enhance poultry farm management quality in Sendangtirto. With strong collaboration between farmers, program staff, and consultants, the effort not only generates economic benefits but also serves as a model for sustainable and healthy poultry farming.
