GRESIK – A heartfelt and spirited atmosphere filled the Disability Center of Yayasan Sanggar Al Ikhlas, Gresik, on Tuesday (26 August 2025), as DT Peduli and partners organized a social program featuring Khitan Barokah (circumcision program) and free health checkups for children with disabilities and local residents.

The event began with a collective prayer, seeking Allah’s blessing for the entire program. Dr. Niko, from the medical team, then provided an explanation of the circumcision method being used, offering reassurance and clarity to both parents and participants.

A total of nine children underwent circumcision, including two children with cerebral palsy who bravely completed the procedure. Seven other participants came from the surrounding community, reflecting the enthusiasm of local families for the initiative.

After a short break and the midday prayer, the program continued with free health services attended by 20 participants, consisting of parents and nearby residents. Services included vital sign checks such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, general examinations, and medication for those with health concerns.

“I am deeply moved and grateful for this Khitan Barokah program organized by DT Peduli and Yayasan Sanggar Al Ikhlas. My son was one of the nine participants, and the process was carried out with professionalism and compassion, especially for children with special needs such as cerebral palsy. Dr. Niko and the medical team provided clear explanations that truly reassured us as parents,” said Aini, mother of Alfaro.

This initiative represents both healthcare service and a tangible expression of social compassion. Yayasan Sanggar Al Ikhlas and DT Peduli hope such programs will continue to reach and benefit more communities in need.
