AMMAN, JORDAN – The Islamic Charity Center for Society (ICCS), the oldest and largest humanitarian organization serving Palestinian refugees since 1960, presented an award plaque to Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli for its consistent contribution in assisting Palestinian refugees, on Monday (March 11, 2025).
The award was handed directly by Jabeer, Director of ICCS, at the ICCS headquarters in Jordan.
In his remarks, Jabeer expressed his appreciation for DT Peduli’s commitment, which has sent a total of 10 trucks of food supplies to Gaza since October 7, 2024.
“We deeply appreciate DT Peduli’s consistent efforts in supporting Palestinian refugees, especially in increasingly challenging conditions,” said Jabeer.
ICCS itself is an organization with official authority to manage 14 Palestinian refugee camps, housing a total of 2.5 million registered refugees.
In addition, there are about 2 million more unregistered refugees located along the Jordan-Palestine border. ICCS continues to provide humanitarian aid to both registered and unregistered refugees.
Jabeer hopes that the collaboration between ICCS and DT Peduli will continue, especially for the upcoming Eid al-Adha aid program.
He suggested that DT Peduli consider sending sacrificial animals through a joint effort between Jordan and Indonesia.
“Jordan is currently the only country with unrestricted access to send aid into Gaza, thanks to its bilateral cooperation with Israel,” he explained.
Moreover, Dr. Jabeer shared important information regarding the preferences of Gaza residents concerning sacrificial meat. According to him, Gazans are less fond of camel meat as it contains more bones and less meat.
“They prefer beef as the choice for sacrificial animals,” he added.
Jabeer also expressed hope that the partnership between ICCS and DT Peduli would continue to grow, providing greater impact for those in need.
