Thursday, 4 December 2025 | Maribah | Pidie Jaya, Aceh

PIDIE JAYA — DT Peduli’s rapid response team, together with local residents, mobilized to clear thick mud inundating homes in Menasah Bale Village, Meredeu Subdistrict, Pidie Jaya Regency, on Thursday (4 December 2025).

The clean-up operation was part of ongoing recovery efforts following the recent floods that struck the region.

Since early morning, DT Peduli volunteers and community members worked side by side to remove layers of mud that had filled houses, yards, and public facilities. The team deployed equipment such as shovels, water hoses, and cleaning tools to accelerate the environmental restoration process.

The field coordinator from DT Peduli emphasized that the action aimed to speed up post-disaster recovery.

“Our goal is to help residents restore their homes so they can return safely and comfortably. The mud is quite thick, so cooperation between volunteers and the community is essential,” he said.

Residents expressed gratitude for the assistance, noting that the flood had damaged household items and severely disrupted daily activities. The cleanup effort is expected to help accelerate recovery and reduce health risks associated with unsanitary post-flood conditions.

DT Peduli reaffirmed its commitment to supporting affected communities through various forms of aid—including basic necessities, health services, and ongoing recovery support across Pidie Jaya.
