PADANG — DT Peduli, in collaboration with Hisana Fried Chicken, distributed 60 food packages to 60 households severely affected by the flash floods in Lubuk Minturun, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, on Tuesday (2 December 2025).
The assistance provided essential support for families still struggling to recover from extensive damage to homes and public facilities.
DT Peduli volunteer Rizik described the conditions on the ground as deeply concerning, with significant destruction across the area—including damaged bridges and houses swept away by strong currents.
“Alhamdulillah, today we are at the location impacted by the flash flood, here in Lubuk Minturun. As you can see, the damage ranges from collapsed bridges to many homes carried away by the water,” he said.
In addition to the food packages, a total of 700 ready-to-eat meal packages from the Hisana–DT Peduli collaboration have been distributed in stages across several impacted areas, including Kampung Apa, Koto Panjang, and Ikur Koto. Another DT Peduli volunteer expressed hope that the assistance would help meet residents’ daily food needs while awaiting further recovery progress.
“We hope the community can face this hardship with resilience, and that this support will be beneficial for them moving forward,” he said.
A representative from Hisana Fried Chicken Padang expressed appreciation for the strong collaboration and hoped that the assistance would ease the burden of affected families.
“We hope this aid brings benefit and blessings to the community. Thank you to DT Peduli and the entire team for supporting this distribution effort,” the representative said.
Residents of Lubuk Minturun warmly welcomed the assistance. One resident shared that the support was especially meaningful as the community continues to face significant limitations after the disaster.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful for the help from Hisana and DT Peduli. May they continue to grow and always be present for the community,” the resident expressed.
