PADANG – DT Peduli West Sumatra marked another milestone in nurturing a Qur’anic generation by hosting the 2nd Grand Graduation Ceremony of the Qur’an Memorization Program (Rumah Tahfidz Qur’an). The solemn event took place at the FMIPA Hall, Padang State University (UNP), on Sunday (31 August 2025).
A total of 16 students graduated after successfully completing their memorization targets according to their respective levels. The ceremony served as the culmination of their journey in memorizing the words of Allah.
The event began with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by performances of Qur’anic memorization and selawat by the students. A moving atmosphere filled the hall as each student was called forward to be officially recognised as a hafidz or hafidzah.
In her remarks, Halimah, Program Manager of DT Peduli West Sumatra, expressed gratitude and admiration for the perseverance of the students:
“This graduation is not the end, but rather the beginning of a lifelong journey to safeguard and live by the Qur’an. May our students become a light for their families, communities, and the nation.”
The event was attended by representatives from the Provincial Government of West Sumatra, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the City Government of Padang, as well as partners such as Paragon and M Foundation, along with community leaders. Their presence reflected strong support for DT Peduli’s mission to nurture a Qur’anic generation.
Parents and teachers also joined the ceremony, further enriching the atmosphere and inspiring the students to remain steadfast in preserving their memorization and embodying Qur’anic values in daily life.
The 2nd Grand Graduation strengthens DT Peduli West Sumatra’s commitment to producing a generation rooted in Qur’anic character, love for the Qur’an, and service to humanity.
