DT Peduli and Paragon Corp Launch Nutrition Improvement Program for Children in Bekasi
BEKASI – A total of 19 children at Seroja Community Health Center (Puskesmas Seroja), Bekasi, who were identified as experiencing nutritional deficiencies, are now receiving support through the Nutrition Improvement Program. This initiative is a collaboration between DT Peduli, Paragon Corp, and Puskesmas Seroja, aimed at improving children’s nutritional status and overall health in the area.
The program was officially launched at Puskesmas Seroja, beginning with remarks from representatives of each institution. In his speech, Idul Saldi, Head of DT Peduli Bekasi Service Office, emphasized the importance of synergy between non-governmental organizations, corporations, and government health facilities in addressing child nutrition issues.
The program was symbolically inaugurated with the distribution of essential local food supplies beneficial for child growth. The assistance included rice, eggs, shredded meat (abon), milk, mung beans, fruits, and vitamins — selected for their comprehensive nutritional value to support healthy child development.
Novita Dini, one of the parents of the beneficiaries, expressed her gratitude to Paragon Corp, DT Peduli, and Puskesmas Seroja:
“Alhamdulillah, it comes just at the right time, as my child’s milk had just run out. Thank you so much for this support. May Allah SWT reward the donors with abundant blessings,” she said.
In addition to distributing aid, the program also featured educational sessions from health workers at Puskesmas Seroja. Parents and participants received guidance on healthy lifestyle practices, as these are closely linked to children’s nutritional conditions. The knowledge shared is expected to be applied consistently at home.
This nutrition improvement program will run for three months. During this period, teams from DT Peduli and Puskesmas Seroja will continue to monitor each child’s growth and weight to ensure the program’s effectiveness and achieve optimal results.
