PADANG – DT Peduli West Sumatra (Sumbar) distributed wudu sandals to several mosques and prayer rooms (musalla) in Padang City on Friday (1 August 2025). The program aims to improve the comfort of worshippers, particularly when performing wudu (ablution).
The assistance was delivered directly by the DT Peduli Sumbar team to mosque and musalla administrators. Recipient locations were selected based on applications and on-site surveys assessing the need for worship facilities.
Among the mosques receiving wudu sandals were Masjid Ar Raudhah Jhoni Anwar, Masjid Jami, Masjid Nailussaadah, Masjid Baitul Muttaqin, Masjid Ar Raudhah, and Masjid Al Furqan.
Halimahtus Sa’diyah, Program Manager of DT Peduli Sumbar, stated that this initiative reflects a concern for the simple yet essential needs of worshippers.
“We’ve noticed that wudu sandals are a facility often overlooked, yet their presence is very helpful, especially for the elderly and children, making it more comfortable to walk to the ablution area. We hope this assistance will be beneficial and serve as an ongoing charity (amal jariyah) for our donors,” she said.
DT Peduli Sumbar remains committed to delivering programs that support the comfort and smooth running of the community’s worship activities.
