Aa Gym Inaugurates New Board and Management of DT Peduli Foundation

BANDUNG – K.H. Abdullah Gymnastiar (Aa Gym), Founder and Advisor of Daarut Tauhiid (DT), officially inaugurated the new board members of the DT Peduli Foundation, the management team of DT Peduli Amil Zakat Institution (LAZ), and the management of DT Peduli Community Service Division on Thursday (8 July 2025). The ceremony took place at the Daarul Hajj Hall and was attended by representatives from other DT institutions as well as DT Peduli’s amil (staff and volunteers).

The position of Chairperson of the DT Peduli Foundation is now held by Muhammad Asana (Ruli), accompanied by Ustadz Maulana as Secretary, replacing the previous board members. Meanwhile, Cucu Hidayat continues to serve as Treasurer of the Foundation.

Within LAZ DT Peduli’s management, several changes took place. Jajang Nurjaman, formerly the Operational Director, is now appointed as President Director of DT Peduli. Ghazi Al-Ghifari has taken over the role of Operational Director, while Agus Kurniawan remains as Marketing Director. The leadership of Regional Offices (Kantor Perwakilan) and Service Offices (Kantor Layanan) largely remains unchanged.

Several new positions have also been introduced, including General Manager of R&D and Legal, Manager of PPC and Program Design, Fundraising Manager for Region I, Fundraising Manager for Region II, Program Manager for Region I, and Program Manager for Region II.

In his address, Aa Gym reminded all board members and management to strive to be people beloved by Allah to receive His guidance and assistance. The key, he emphasized, lies in being truly God-conscious (taqwa) through three main principles: having strong monotheistic faith (tauhid), continuously improving one’s prayer, and being generous in charity.

“No matter how big the problem, with Allah’s guidance, it will be resolved. The real issue lies within ourselves — our lack of taqwa,” he stressed.

Aa Gym also highlighted the importance of setting a good example. As leaders of an amil zakat institution, they must embody the values they promote before calling others to follow. He cited Qur’an Surah Al-Imran: 134, which describes the qualities of the God-conscious — those who are generous, who restrain their anger, and who are forgiving.

“May DT Peduli compete in goodness with others — truly becoming sensitive to suffering, willing to care, act, and fight for the cause. And remember, in this struggle, there are no office hours. Every moment is an opportunity to serve,” he concluded.
