JAMBI CITY – To welcome the Islamic New Year 1447 H, DT Peduli Jambi organized the Muharram Orphan Care Program, targeting orphans from two urban villages in Jambi City. The event took place on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the DT Peduli Jambi office, located at Jl. Jendral Sudirman No. 2A, Tambak Sari Village, South Jambi District.
A total of 50 orphaned children benefited from the program. They received financial support, special gift packages, and participated in an interactive Islamic storytelling session filled with joy and inspiration.
More than just material aid, the program aimed to uplift spirits and create meaningful memories. Smiles and happiness radiated from the children throughout the event.
“This program is our way of showing care for orphans, especially in the month of Muharram, which holds great significance in Islam. We want them to feel loved and valued,” said Nur Asiah, Branch Director of DT Peduli Jambi, during her opening remarks.
In addition to the aid and gifts, the event featured uplifting Islamic storytelling that conveyed lessons in good character, gratitude, and resilience in a fun and accessible format for the children.
The program received positive feedback from the local community and guardians of the orphans. Many expressed hope that initiatives like this would continue and reach even more children in need.
DT Peduli Jambi invites the broader community to continue sharing and spreading goodness—especially toward orphans, who are a sacred trust of the ummah. The program serves as a reminder that true blessings in life are not just found in what we possess, but in how much we are willing to give.
