BATAM – DT Peduli Riau Islands (Kepri) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting coastal communities. On Wednesday (July 16, 2025), in collaboration with the Mosque Council (DKM) of Al-Afdhol Grand Batam Mall, DT Peduli Kepri organized a social service initiative by distributing food packages to residents of Air Saga Island, Pulau Abang Village, Galang District, Batam City.
This initiative is part of DT Peduli Kepri’s ongoing program aimed at assisting underprivileged residents in the island areas surrounding Batam, particularly the sea tribe communities who face limited access to basic necessities.
The residents showed great enthusiasm, gathering at the dock and working together to carry the food packages to the home of the local community head (RT) on Air Saga Island, which served as the central distribution point.
“Alhamdulillah, we are deeply grateful for the food assistance and the care shown by the people from Batam, DT Peduli, and Grand Batam Mall. Thank you for thinking of us here on Air Saga Island,” expressed the community head.
DT Peduli Kepri hopes similar initiatives can continue sustainably with the support of partners and donors, in order to bring greater impact and hope to coastal communities in need.
